Boosts, Setbacks, and Neutral Events
Sometimes life happens and we can either get a boost or a setback when we least expect it. When this happens, we learned that it could affect us financially and impact our health as well. It's important we learn how to adapt to these changes.
Boost
The boost we received was the tax return. With this, we got a refund of $200. Instead of spending the money right away, we want to put it into savings for future expenses or setbacks. This would also relieve some of the financial stress we may have since we now have some extra money.
Setback
For our setback, we received the unexpected fee of having to pay a payday loan interest of $60. To account for this, we had to take $60 dollars out of the $150 we set aside for other expenses. It didn't really affect us that much, but we now don't have as much money set aside for any other unexpected setbacks.
Neutral Event
The neutral event we got was the unexpected kindness act where a neighbor generously gives us $40 worth of groceries. This helps so much because it allows the parents to eat more in a day so they can stay strong and healthy.
